Undercoat Vs Bedliner
Undercoat vs bedliner. Its in pieces but will be together sometime. I usually buy 5 cans at a time cus I use it on so many applications. Bedliner comprises tiny bits of rubber which when applied to the undercarriage offers protection from rust impact from debris and dampens sound.
Neither will let airmoisture through. I switched to eastwoods rust encapsulator. It needs to be top coated because it will absorb moisture.
Probably the bed liner would be the best again. Eastwood has some very good 2 part epoxy bedliner thats similar to commercial grade stuff that holds up well. He mentioned something about removing the bed but not sure what he meant.
The bed liner is hard and the rubberized undercoat is pliable and will keep rocks etc from hitting the underside of the fenders and causing star chips. Id go that route long before the spray on stuff. The bed off this summer grinding down the whole frame prime and paint it flat black.
I dont trust any air dry rattle can stuff. The bedliner would be preferable but underneath and tust prone areas. Pricy but would be nice.
I use the paintable under coating in tree pruning and as a tree wound paint and roof sealer around vents. Allow this to dry completely before proceeding further. With it being undercoat it should not matter though.
For interior and heavy use application. Dynatron 544 Dyna-Pro.
You know that works well but thats you know really good for up for rust like like you mentioned.

Think it will hold up good might undercoat over the paint but i dont wanna do it again. Its does everything you would expect POR-15 to do only it hurts your wallet less. Feb 25 2015. I also used the same product to spray the bottom of my snowcat as well as the floor of the cabin of my snowcat. On the below the deck arbor mountings I cover those so it does not effect the height.

Then apply a self-etching primer for metal on the chassis.
